MyWheels mission started in 1993 already

In 1993 MyWheels was introduced by Henry Mentink with the realization that the energy to produce a car is equivalent to feeding a person for thirty years. With this in mind, it is much more logical to share our car fleet instead of owning one individually. Car sharing started on a small scale with a group of users sharing their car and keeping track of their usage in a shared notebook. Nowadays, this is driven by technology to make car sharing hassle free and easy to use. Fast forward to 2021, MyWheels places car number 1.000 in Groningen and is on track to place more than 2 thousand cars by the end of 2021.
