Three markets in transition
We are optimists about technology. We believe that the right tech companies will accelerate the mobility and energy transitions with fair business models, in a digital landscape that is transparent and locally organised.

The transitions that have been discussed for years are now deeply interconnected. Electric cars are becoming mobile batteries. Data centres are both large energy users and major sources of residual heat. Everything is moving, everything is connected. Those who lead now have the most to gain.
There is plenty of energy available. The challenge is to use it more dynamically and store it more smartly. Even before “energy transition” became common, The Sharing Group was already working on crucial innovations. With EnergyZero we opened the market for dynamic energy contracts, and with Hegg Energy we introduced the first affordable home battery model.
In the online technology market, we are known in the Netherlands as disruptors. With well-known brands like Mijndomein and Metaregistrar, we shook up the domain name and hosting market. Today, Mijndomein is a leading player supporting small businesses in every step of their digital transformation.
We believe cars can be used far more efficiently. That is the essence of the mobility transition. Technology now makes it possible to use cars many times more intensively. We support municipalities and developers with high-tech, user-friendly solutions that make neighbourhoods more liveable, prevent grid congestion and unlock stalled housing projects.
“In the People’s Power Plant, everyone generates their own energy, stores it smartly in home batteries and shared cars, and together we reduce grid congestion. All our markets and brands come together here. And it works!
